A warm welcome to our services
Our regular Sunday services
Younger members of our congregation join us for the first part of the service, then leave us to take part in their own worship activities in Sparx. Sparx is about discovering the Bible and all it has to offer though a series of fun activities - drama, games, stories and craft. Sparx usually finishes at 1130/ 1145am for refreshments.
If Communion is taking place, then Sparx join us at the end of the service so that they have the opportunity to join us all at the communion rail.
All Sparx leaders have undergone a DBS check. Further information can be found about Sparx by clicking on the image below.
Sunday morning: 10.30am
Traditional worship, often using a mixture of hymns
and modern worship songs.
We have a hearing loop, large text hymn books plus
newly installed screens for some hymns.
Our choir sing for us most Sundays and we also
have our own worship band, the Lamplighters.
Our current Minister is Rachel Leather and we have
other ministers and lay preachers on a rota basis.
Refreshments are served after the service in the
church hall - please do stay and join us!
Sunday evening: 6.30 pm
This will take place this month on the following Sundays:
To be announced...
This takes place twice a month, once in the morning service and once in the evening service, usually the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the month.
The next Holy Communion will be - to be announced...
from time to time, we have services which are a little different from the norm, such as Cafe Church and All Age Worship.
Cafe Church takes place in the evening and sees the church re-arranged into its cafe style, light refreshments are served and we have a topical speaker instead of a minister or lay preacher. There is always an opportunity to discuss the topic of the day with others and the speaker takes questions from the congregation.
The next Cafe church will be - to be announced...
We also have All Age Worship several times a year, which is a shorter, more interactive service, involving all the congregation - the children do not leave us but take a part in the worship. Often with dramas, activities, discussions and our live band, it is ideal for families and those new to the church.
The next All Age Worship will be - to be announced...
Do all the good you can, By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can, In all the places you can,
At all the times you can, To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can ... John Wesley
